The mission of the Regional Sales Manager – Public Sector will be to generate revenue through the sale of NoTraffic products and services to state, county and municipal agencies in the Midwest states area.
This role will execute sales strategy, develop territory and account plans, and cultivate customer relationships to consistently meet revenue and growth objectives.
The ideal candidate must be process oriented and have strong business skills including the ability to effectively communicate the NoTraffic value proposition, negotiate and close deals to meet revenue targets, accurately forecast sales, actively manage a target pipeline, and effectively differentiate our products services from the competition.

Your day to day will include:

  • Deliver the assigned revenue through the sale of NoTraffic products and services to state, county and municipal agencies through direct and partner sales
  • Proactively identify, pursue, forecast, and maintain a pipeline of potential targets that meet or exceed established goals through prospecting, networking and referral activities
  • Work closely with senior management to close business with major prospects and upsell to existing customers
  • Collaborate with the NoTraffic Partner Manager and NoTraffic partners to position NoTraffic’s solutions and close deals with fulfillment through our partners
  • Own, maintain and build the company’s existing customer relationships while adding new, strategic relationships
  • Understand market trends, customer business requirements and needs
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of NoTraffic’s products and services and our market
  • Collaborate with the NoTraffic Customer Success Manager and senior management to propose compelling solutions that translate into revenue
  • Monitor agencies in the assigned territory for relevant RFPs and RFIs and contribute to NoTraffic responses
  • Represent NoTraffic at industry events as required to include public speaking engagements
  • Maintain CRM for the assigned territory

You’d be a good fit if you have:

  • 5+ years developing and closing Intelligent Transportation Systems business with government agencies in the assigned territory. Traffic Engineering background is a plus
  • Proven history in generating new business and growing business with existing customers in the Intelligent Transportation market including state, county and municipal governments
  • Entrepreneurial skills with a team-centered attitude are essential for this role. We are highly competitive externally and 100% team oriented internally. We are focused on a common goal and every team member is vital to our success
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and respond quickly to sales and support issues
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both internal and external
  • Must have the discipline and work ethic to work remotely while maintaining close contact with the team
  • Must be a strong relationship builder internally and externally
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to manage multiple objectives, changing priorities, and market demands in an exciting, dynamic environment
  • Be able to travel up to 60% in the assigned territory
