We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer with expertise in fault finding and analysis, product improvement planning and reliability testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge in undertaking, documenting and follow up to resolution of root cause analysis. This role requires experience in product testing both in house and collaborating with external labs, based upon experience in setting up product testing procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and successful results-driven relationship with R&D and external labs.

Your day to day will include:

  • Working with R&D, and test labs to undertake product testing, including
    establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Undertake in-house testing focused on reliability
  • Undertaking root cause analysis of hardware and software, driving
    reliability, quality, and process improvements
  • Coordinate with Research and Development (R&D) teams and external
    labs to set up comprehensive testing procedures aligned with product
    requirements
  • Apply product reliability and compliance methodologies to assist in the
    identification and management of risks
  • Assessment of hardware design, software & integration testing in order to drive improvements
  • Working with supply chain and Automatic Test Equipment engineers (ATE) to ensure alignment of reliability goals with production

You’d be a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in test engineering roles
  • Proven knowledge of reliability methodologies, tests and experiments
  • Experience in integration, hardware and software testing
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with R&D, external labs, and cross-functional teams
  • Mechanical design knowledge, an advantage
  • Experience in product compliance standards, an advantage
  • Writing reliability plans and familiarity with standards for Outdoor products – an advantage
