Role Overview

We’re hiring a few Assistant Beekeepers to support our field operations team in North Dakota through early-to-mid August. This is a hands-on, entry-level role focused on learning the fundamentals of beekeeping while assisting experienced team members with daily hive management and maintenance. No prior experience is required—we provide training.

Key Responsibilities

● Assist experienced beekeepers with hive inspections and routine maintenance

● Support hive setup, construction, and transportation

● Perform labor-intensive tasks such as lifting, loading, and equipment handling

● Help prepare materials and equipment for daily fieldwork

● Follow instructions to support pest management and hive treatments

● Assist with honey extraction and processing activities

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment

● Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the field

What You’ll Learn

● Basics of hive structure, bee behavior, and seasonal hive management

● Safe handling of bees and beekeeping equipment

● Introduction to hive health, pests, and environmental factors

● Field operations within a commercial beekeeping environment

Qualifications

● Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members

● Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

● Comfortable performing physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)

● Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

● Basic communication skills

Work Environment

● Outdoor, field-based role

● Exposure to bees, weather, and rugged terrain

● May require early mornings, weekends, or travel between sites
