Description

Beewise is scaling toward serial production, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Strategic Buyer to lead the commercial and contractual aspects of a large-scale procurement program involving multi-million-dollar annual spend.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with significant ownership of supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, cost optimization, and supply-risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to support serial production and scale-up.
  • Take a hands-on role in leading negotiations with strategic suppliers and contract manufacturers, including pricing, payment terms, agreements, and supply commitments.
  • Drive cost optimization through benchmarking, cost analysis, and volume-based negotiations.
  • Manage commercial and supply risks related to lead times, MOQs, inventory, forecasts, capacity, and engineering changes.
  • Develop alternative and dual-sourcing strategies for critical components.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Provide visibility into supplier readiness, commitments, savings, and key risks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of strategic procurement or sourcing experience in hardware or manufacturing companies.
  • Proven experience managing significant procurement spend and complex global supplier negotiations.
  • Experience supporting NPI-to-serial-production transitions and production ramp-ups.
  • Strong commercial understanding of supplier agreements, pricing, payment terms, and supply-chain risk.
  • Experience sourcing electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components and working with contract manufacturers.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Independent and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English; Spanish is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Preferred

Experience in robotics, industrial equipment, automotive, medical devices, or other complex multidisciplinary products, as well as experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
