XTEND, a fast-growing leader in innovation, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive our success in the Defense sector. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for building lasting partnerships and closing impactful deals, we want you on our team.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead XTEND’s business development efforts in the Defense market.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Operations, and Program Managers to capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of Defense projects and drive strategic business wins.
  • Identify, lead, and close high-value deals that contribute to XTEND’s expansion.
  • Foster repeat business and grow relationships with our existing customers.
  • Partner with senior management to execute an ambitious growth strategy.
  • Forge strong industry partnerships with key players, from primes to subcontractors.
  • Proactively source, respond to, and win government solicitations (RFIs, RFPs, BAAs, etc.).
  • Report directly to XTEND’s CCO, contributing to our company’s future growth.

Requirements

  • Experienced Business Development professional, with a minimum of 15 years in BD roles, preferably with sales or program management experience
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the defense industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Must. MBA or equivalent - Advantage
  • Proven track record of overachieving quotas or equivalent measure metrics
  • Experienced in working in hardware and product companies
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed personal and team goals & objectives
  • Ability to work independently, plan workload, and deliver on commitments
  • A team player who is also independent, with self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
  • Experience in customer service, and operational or logistical workflows experience in managing a budget (P&L) on a business unit level
  • Strong commercial sensitivity, action, logical thinking
  • Willing to travel (around 50%)
  • Spanish + Portuigeze – Advantage
